Spontaneously set things inside it on fire, including water.

Description:
Looks like a meter high metal barrel. It is slightly rusty, and a bit banged up.

Information:
When it was first mentioned during 3.4 "Sinister Symbolism" it seemed to be a normal metal barrel. The fire burning in it wasn't producing any strange smoke. Owen Smith took it upon himself to use this barrel to burn black pages from a reverse phone book. This probably caused smoke versions of those symbols to appear, as they were found later in the plot in the area. The team didn't investigate further, though.

Later, during 3.4 "Reap Between the Lines", another team found charred symbols all over the walls and floor around the barrel. (there is no actual proof that this is the same barrel, but it seems likely). Beau Davis used the barrel to burn papers with the memetic symbol they were trying to contain. It produced smoke copies of the same, though they waved them apart. He tried to smother the flames with a blanket, but it caught on fire and produced smoke blankets. He tried to smother the flames with water, but it caught on fire and produced smoke acting like water and flowing into the sewers. He went looking for more water, and by the time he got back the fire had gone out. He dumped the water in the barrel anyway, and it caught on fire and produced smoke acting like water and flowing into the sewers.
